‘The Golden Bachelorette’: Meet the Men Vying for Joan Vassos’ Heart

Joan Vassos is ready to find her leading man!
On Sept. 18, the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette is set to premiere, and there’s 24 distinguished gentlemen who want to steal the heart of the school administrator. The men, all whose ages range from 57-68, will hope they meet Joan’s standards, as she works to find her true love, after John, her husband of 32 years, died in 2021 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
The contestants have variety of backgrounds, ranging from a fire chief, retired executives, current executives, a rancher, an ER doctor and more.
Joan, who self-eliminated from Gerry Turner’s season, recently told ET that she’s going into her journey with “no expectations” and is looking for a different love than she had with her late husband.
“I’m hopeful and I don’t have any idea what it looks like, honestly, but I believe that it’s possible,” she said. “That took a long time for me to get to that place, so I am so happy I’m at that place. I just wonder what it’s gonna be and I hope it’s gonna be in this house.”
