Congratulations are in order — Marisa Abela and boyfriend Jamie Bogyo are engaged!

The West End actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share the news that he popped the question to the Back to Black actress. The post included a photo of Abela, 27, showing off her dazzling new sparkler while holding up a red rose, as well as a video of her with her legs wrapped around her fiancĂ©’s waist as she kisses him in celebration.

Another video shows Abela being adorably startled by a group of friends and family who were waiting to surprise her after the proposal.

“She said she’ll think about it!” Bogyo jokingly captioned the cute post.

Abela and Bogyo — best known for his work on stage, making his West End debut originating the role of Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical — celebrated their fourth anniversary in January.

Abela’s exciting relationship news comes amid an already high-profile year for the young artist. She recently starred as late songstress Amy Winehouse in director Sam Taylor-Johnson’s biopic, Back to Black, which came out in May.

The English actress spoke with ET at the New York City premiere of the film back in May and addressed the challenges of playing such a beloved public figure.

“It’s a big deal,” she said of taking on the role of the “Rehab” singer and facing criticism from fans in the process. “She really means so much to so many people and she’s so — she’s such an important artist so I get it, I completely respect it.”

Winehouse died in July 2011 at the age of 27 and her cause of death was ruled to be alcohol poisoning. The singer’s brother, Alex, has claimed in the past that he believes her struggles with bulimia also contributed to her death.

As Abela celebrated the wrap of the press tour for the film, the actress offered up a piece of advice to any actor or singer who may be preparing to take on the role of a music icon or otherwise: “Lean into the thing that it was that made you fall in love with that person in the first place.”

“For me, it was like — there’s a power about Amy, like just when you look into her eyes, there’s an intensity that it is like unparalleled and I fell in love with that feeling from the second I started, you know, watching footage and preparing for the role,” she shared.
