Bethenny Frankel and Luann de Lesseps Reunite in the Hamptons After Feud: ‘Hell Hath Frozen Over’

After years of animosity, Bethenny Frankel and Luann de Lesseps have rekindled their friendship.
The former Real Housewives of New York City stars reunited over the Fourth of July weekend at a lavish party in the Hamptons, sharing smiles and selfies, including one with Bethenny’s 14-year-old daughter, Bryn, and actress Emma Roberts.
Bethenny, 53, took to Instagram on July 7 to share the joyous moment. “Bougie Hamptons party by day… tonight it’s a cabaret…” she captioned the photo. “Hell hath frozen over and I am being cool and not uncool…”
Luann, 59, also posted the reunion photos, adding her own playful caption, “I guess life IS a CABARET, my friends!”
The reunion marks a significant turning point for the duo, who had a notable falling out during a season 11 episode of RHONY that aired in 2019. During a heated group dinner, Bethenny famously told Luann, “Life is not a cabaret. It is actually not a cabaret!”
The confrontation stemmed from Bethenny’s frustration over Luann’s perceived indifference following the death of Bethenny’s boyfriend, Dennis Shields. On Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Bethenny later explained that her outburst was triggered by “many things,” reaching a boiling point after observing Luann’s behavior.
Luann expressed optimism during the RHONY after-show despite the tension, stating, “Bethenny and I have been friends for a long time, and we’ve been through a lot together. Certainly, this is not the end of the road. Maybe it’s a new beginning.”
Bethenny left RHONY in 2019, and Luann exited the show in 2021. However, their relationship remained rocky, with the pair occasionally exchanging jabs through interviews, podcasts and on social media.
Luann’s TikTok presence is quite different from that of Bethenny‘s.
Recently, Bethenny flooded her followers’ feeds with videos lambasting luxury brand Chanel for allegedly not allowing her in a store that was hosting a private event. Bethenny seemingly shared more than 100 videos on the topic.
“I don’t follow Bethenny, and so, no, I have not been following, but I have heard,” Luann told ET last month of the incident. “I have heard, as I am doing British Vogue, she is getting kicked out of Chanel. So, there you go. Success is the best revenge.”
