Michael Strahan Shares Heartwarming Video of Daughter Isabella Amid Her Cancer Battle

Written by on May 21, 2024

Michael Strahan shared a heartwarming look into his family life with his daughters, Sophia and Isabella Strahan. On Monday, the Good Morning America co-anchor reposted a video of the 19-year-old twins laughing and playing with their dog, Enzo, originally posted to Isabella’s TikTok page.

“These three are amazing but who is my favorite?” Michael captioned the Instagram post. “LOL.”

In the former NFL champion’s comments, Isabella cheekily answers, “I’m your favorite don’t lie.”

The video shows Isabella and Sophia following a recent TikTok trend in which dog owners put their hands on one another in front of their dogs to see if their dog will put their paws on top of theirs. The twins’ video features a voiceover that says, “Have you ever just looked at someone and say, ‘So this is what love looks like.'”

The video is the latest offering on Isabella’s TikTok page since she returned to posting on the platform after a follower asked about her status amid her brain cancer battle.

The University of Southern California undergrad was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a tumor that starts in the back part of the brain. She first began suffering symptoms in early October — a month into her freshman year at USC in Los Angeles. After testing, doctors discovered she had developed a fast-growing 4-centimeter tumor, larger than a golf ball, in the back of her brain, which was diagnosed as medulloblastoma. She underwent surgery to have the mass removed that same month, just one day before her 19th birthday.

Isabella then launched her YouTube series to document her cancer treatment journey, from the setbacks to the pleasant surprises

Most recently, she revealed that she needed a third craniotomy one month after her second. The procedure caused her chemotherapy treatment to be pushed back a month. It also left her in a lot of pain.

The news was especially disappointing since Isabella was previously told her chemotherapy treatments had been reduced from six to four, allowing her to be done in May instead of July.

“Yes, I only have to do two rounds of chemo, but it’s still gonna be three months,” Isabella said. “So I wasn’t very happy about that. I was just bawling my eyes out because it’s just so disappointing when you’re like, ‘Yes! I can finish by May!’ And then everything changes because of a stupid head infection.”

“So now I’ll be done a little later than I wanted to, but oh well,” she said.

But from the looks of her TikTok posts, Isabella has been in considerably lighter spirits. The aspiring model has been sharing videos of her dancing and laughing with her family and friends, a heartwarming sight for her many followers.
